What I Wore Wednesday - Asos Galore

Another dreary day here in Toowoomba could only mean one thing - a bright outfit teamed with what else than my hunter wellies. I am so happy I bought these even if the husband found out how much they really cost this morning. He actually took it quite well.

I've had this suitcase print jacket from asos for yonks now but this is the first time I've actually worn it. It's a super thin polyester type material so does not really provide much warmth but does the job all the same. Elizabeth Olsen even thinks so.

Turns out I'm a walking asos ad today!

I also made my first purchase with shopbop today ... i had put the matthew williamson neon frames i blogged about here in my wishlist and was advised that they had been further reduced. I bought them this morning for under $100 after umming and ahhing about buying them for $150+. Glad I waited. 

Do you like wishlists or are they just plain mean to your bank balance?

Jumpin' in the Puddles

Hooray, it is raining today ... well sort of - enough to crack open the hunter box and wear my new gumboots!

Thank you to all who put in their two cents as to which colour I should get.

My twinnie is down in Melbourne this weekend. A final holiday before the baby comes and has just posted a photo of the Zara store on facebook. I've just requested a bright blazer but doubt she'll take my comment seriously! Here is a photo of us at one of our besties weddings recently.

I love this girl. She is my best friend. I wish I got to see her more.

I only just found the touch up effects in picasa and had a good ol play with the effects. The edit program piknik is being discontinued as of next week some time. DEVO!! The airbrush feature is

I hunted and I gathered

Thanks to all of you who left a comment on this post or on Facebook about colour choice for my long awaited Hunter wellies. In the end I decided to go with the safe option and ordered the Hunter Original Adjustable Wellington Boots in gloss black for a bit of pizzazz. I was super excited to get the asos 20% off email just as I was about to place my order over at Country Attire but then was sadly let down when I received the 'this item does not qualify for the applied discount' message. BOO!!

I figure if these fit good and I love them I may treat myself to another pair in red or pink. I am after all, moving to a very raining place (the Sunshine Coast) within the next year and they will be much needed!

Very much looking forward to the 3 little things market that my beautiful friend M and I have booked a stall at tomorrow. Fingers crossed that we sell, sell, sell. I think our store is going to look pretty inviting. Pics on Monday.

Hunter and Gatherer

I don't know how many of you saw this post about my love and quest for a pair of Hunter gumboots.

Well fast forward a week or so and I've made the money required by selling a few unused items on eBay so I've decided that a pair will be on their way to me. 

I now have to decide which colour to get. I'm tossing up between a bit of an out-there choice and a safe option.

Red like blogger Atlantic Pacific who I have recently discovered and have a MAJOR style crush on?

or Black like a whole host of celebs?

I think I'm going to have to get the adjustable boots to be safe as I've never had too much luck with boots and my larger-than-average calves.

Don't you Hate it

So ... you're reading a blog and then you see someone wearing something that you've been ummming and ahhhing about for a while and immediately your doubts have disappeared and your mind is made up.

Everything about this outfit is amazing! The bun, sunnies, dress, belt, trench and the gumboots.

You see, I've been lusting after a pair of Hunter wellies/gumboots/rainboots for a while but have been having trouble justifying spending $100+ on a pair of rubber boots.

I saw a chicky babe at Pizza Hut (in Toowoomba of all places) one day rockin a pair as just a regular pair of boots and mentioned to my husband that that is what I wanted for my birthday. He basically shut me down and told me that was a ridiculous idea for a present.

I told him that I'd sort a birthday present out for myself secretly thinking I'd buy the boots anyway. Nearly a week on from my birthday I haven't got myself anything yet. The husband then said 'I thought you were getting the boots!'

... Um, hello!!!

Does anyone own a pair of Hunters? My only worry is that they won't fit my 'netballer legs'.

And then what colour do I get? Decisions, decisions.
