Pink or Blue

Today is the day ... pink or blue day. For those who have no idea what I'm talking about, we are having our 20 week scan at three o'clock and hopefully we'll get to find out the sex of baby bourke. That is if he or she cooperates. I honestly have no inkling of what we are having. My twinnie said she thought she was having a boy but did say she thought that only really because she wanted to have a girl. I'll be happy either way cos it means I can start shopping and decorating!!!

Isn't this guy just the cutest. Butter wouldn't melt in his mouth right?! WRONG
We found out on Monday that he has been escaping out of our yard and familiarising himself with the neighbourhood. We never knew because he was always home when we got home from work. It was only when a lady spotted us walking him that she pulled over and said he has gotten out a few times. Scary thing is we live near a pretty busy road and he isn't totally street smart. On Tuesday, we shut him in the fenced pool area thinking that would be a good temporary measure until we could fix the gate so he couldn't contortion himself under it to get out. I went home at lunch and he'd dug his way out and was asleep under the house. So I tied him up. He was no longer tied up when the husband got home from work. We had another go at fixing the gate for Wednesday. When the husband got home, Rocky was waiting on the street side of the gate. Our gate mods meant that Rocky could still get out but could not make his way back in. We've tried another method today so hopefully that works until we can think of a more permanent solution.

Sorry too much text! Thanks as always for reading.

So, three hours till the scan. What's your prediction? BOY or GIRL?

Melbourne Cup - Office Style

Here's what I wore to work today on Melbourne Cup day. I failed at the office sweeps and have drunk a whole bottle of wine. I'm very much unsure whether I should drive home at this stage.

vintage dress | mollini heels | assorted accesories

For those of you who are regular op shoppers and those who buy things which you ponder whether you will actually EVER will wear will understand today's predicament. Today's choice is a beautiful pastel purple vintage frock that I can so imagine someone wearing to a Saturday night dance in the 50s but probably not the best length for someone of my height. I decided to wear it anyway incase I never wear it again. The shoes were my original wedding choice shoe.

For a bit of variety, here is the rock dog totally lovin' some knock off ray bans purchased in San Francisco.

Any some work out shots ... these are for you, Megan! My bestie has lost loads of kilos and is such an inspiration. It was so awesome for her to come along to my Friday afternoon pump class last Friday.

Hop everyone had a fabulous Tuesday!

Adoring Pyjama Pants

Wow it's been a busy day. I was intending to do a post this morning but somehow it's nearly going home time and I'm here quickly to share today's outfit. My super cute but silly dog spotted a hare early this morning while I was putting my shoes on for our walk and sprinted off after it and almost got skittled by a car on the main road. He didn't even catch the hare anyway! It really shook me up - I just don't know what I'd do if anything happened to him. Check out my instagram feed for his latest escapades!

Anyway, enough about that. Does anything beat the simplicity of a plain white tee teamed with a statement pair of pants or skirt? Me thinks not. Oh, and who could beat some Matthew Williamson/Linda Farrow neon glasses - my first ever ShopBop purchase. And lasty, a $4.00 guess bag snapped up at a garage sale. I love it!
envious pants ($24.95 @ trade Secret)
living doll tee ($7.00 @ trade secret)
kmart boots ($10.00 on sale now)
guess bag ($4.00 via garage sale)

Inspired ... Red, White and Animal Print

When I laid eyes on this picture of Kate Moss I knew I had to pin it straight away. Red, white and animal print is a classic in my book and is a look that anyone can recreate usually with pieces directly from their own wardrobe.

That jacket is AMAZING and if I could look that good in red leather pants (and could afford them for that matter) I'd search around the world for the ultimate pair. But I found an alternative in the form of these Lorna Jane jeggings (which aren't all that cheap themselves to be honest). Thinking back to no more than a year ago you would have never seen me even consider buying, let along wearing jeggings but times are a changing. I'm no Kate Moss but quite like this outfit. Can you really go wrong with this colour/pattern combo?

I've also added some items to my shop my closet page including some vintage gems. Go check it out if you want. Open to offers of course : )

Oh, and have you entered my giveaway yet?! I have two photobooks up for grabs worth just under $100 eacy - great for documenting a wedding, holiday, family or perhaps your outfits?!

What I Wore Wednesday

My fashion inspiration pinboard seems to be almost daily updated with images directly from the gorgeous Atlantic Pacific.

Today's outfit inspiration was this.I adored the mix of colours and textures and so want to get me a chunky cable knit green jumper for the cooler months.

ralph lauren jumper, riders by lee jeans, thrifted country road flats, old kmart belt, thrifted just jeans old linen shirt, glomesh-like vintage purse, cassette society sunnies

Thought I would throw in some ADORABLE photos of the rock dog. I never get sick of him and his silly faces.

Hope you enjoy the rest of your Wednesday!
